Our nationwide experience right now is one of stress, anxiety, and fear.
Do any of these negative experiences sound familiar?
Isolation
Financial stress
Job loss
Family turmoil
Mental distress
While these are all very real, very valid experiences, I’m going to offer a bit of hope to help you find the silver lining among all the uncertainty and stress.
First, understand that uncertainty, by itself, is not the enemy. And it’s not new! We face uncertainty every time we move, change jobs, or help a family member through a transition.
When we face these challenges, we often find ourselves doubting ourselves and becoming paralyzed with fear and blind to the options and opportunities that are available. But when we use turbulent times to self-reflect and activate hope, we can transform our reality and minimize the feelings of fear and uncertainty.
In other words, rather than focusing on the change that is occurring, focus on the outcome that you want to achieve. Let’s find ways to respond - rather than react - to our circumstances.
I have found that times of fear and uncertainty can be an opportunity for people to get clear on what they really want. Going through changes can actually help you identify your true purpose. And getting outside of your comfort zone (whether it’s forced or by choice) is when true personal growth occurs.
Utilize this time of uncertainty to get back in touch with who you are, what you want, and what action steps you can take to move closer to your ideal outcome.
These uncertain times are not fun, but they can absolutely force us to re-evaluate our circumstances and make changes that we may not otherwise have made - but will ultimately lead us to more success and happiness.
What steps can you take to move closer to your ideal outcome?
